1960 Gibson Solid Guitar (Les Paul) Special

Here we have a super example of a 1960 Gibson SG Special. The 1960 model year saw the disappearance of the Les Paul silk screen to the headstock and renamed to the SG, solid guitar. 1960 also solved the flimsy neck joint tenon by moving the pickup slightly back into the body allowing for more meat on the tenon and thankfully avoiding having your neck pop out of its socket. As you can see this one is in very nice overall condition with just a few bumps and scrapes picked up over its 64 year life span, one nick by the output socket and a nick to the lacquer on the back of the neck  worthy of mention. It weighs just 7 lbs 3 oz and the pickups read 8.5k ohms bridge and 8k ohms neck making for a strong sounding instrument. It comes with its  original faux croc card case with the neck support which is also in good condition.
